It should never have to come to this residents of Grand Cay pleading on social media for basic
services like water, electricity, and phone access. But under the PLP, that’s exactly where we are.
This government has failed the people of Grand Cay. Under their watch, the cost of living has
exploded. Groceries are up. Rent is up. Light bills are through the roof. And in return,
Bahamians get more blackouts, more excuses, and more empty promises.
These days, PLP might as well stand for Parties, Lies, and Promises—because that’s all they
seem to deliver.
Meanwhile, the people of Grand Cay are hardworking, proud, and resilient, but they are left to
suffer in silence. This community drives its economy through fishing, boating, and construction.
They aren’t asking for handouts. They’re asking for fairness. For reliability. For a government
that shows up. But under the PLP, Grand Cay has been forgotten.
The Free National Movement has seen the strength and potential of Grand Cay firsthand. We
know what this community is capable of when given what they deserve: respect, consistency,
and proper resources.
We are here to work for Grand Cay and all Bahamians. And unlike the PLP, we do not disappear
when things get tough.
The people of Grand Cay are tired, and they are right to be. It is time for leadership that delivers,
not politicians that make excuses.
