I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of a young female student. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends, teachers and classmates and all who knew her during this unimaginably difficult time.
This senseless act has left our community in mourning. I join all Bahamians in hoping that those responsible for this heinous act are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice. This minor child and her family deserve nothing less than full accountability for this tragedy.
As a parent, I am deeply horrified by this unspeakable tragedy, and I cannot begin to imagine the immense pain and heartbreak her family must be enduring at this time.
May her loved ones find strength and comfort, and may her memory inspire us to build a safer and more compassionate community.
