Free National Movement candidate for West Grand Bahama and Bimini, Omar Isaacs, has been appointed Ambassador-at-Large for Grand Bahama under the Global Sustainable Council (UK) and the All India Sustainable Development Council.
In this role, Mr. Isaacs will support the Global Sustainable Council’s Bahamas Chapter as it advances the UN Sustainable Development Goals across Grand Bahama and the wider Caribbean. He will focus on strengthening community development, driving investment, and supporting partnerships that promote long term economic growth.
Mr. Isaacs brings more than a decade of experience in government, international business development, tourism strategy, and investment promotion. He has served in the Office of the Prime Minister in Grand Bahama, the Bahamas Investment Authority, and the Ministry of Tourism in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Nassau. His work includes designing foreign direct investment frameworks, improving government service delivery through digital tools like the MyGateway platform, and coordinating Grand Bahama’s first Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Conference in 2018.
