Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands – On Friday, February 21, 2025, The Hon. Michael Pintard, Leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition in The Bahamas, and Senator The Hon. Darren Henfield, Leader of Opposition Business in the Senate and Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the Ecumenical Service and Swearing-In Ceremony of the Parliament of the Turks and Caicos Islands. The event was held at St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral in Grand Turk following the country’s recent General Elections.
Mr. Pintard and Senator Henfield represented The Bahamas’ Opposition and engaged with the country’s leaders, including Premier The Hon. Charles Washington Misick. Their presence underscored the long-standing historical, cultural, and economic ties between The Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
During the visit, the men greeted members of the newly elected government, reaffirming the importance of continued collaboration between the two nations.
