In his former role as an Investment Officer for Foreign Direct Investments at the Office of the Prime Minister (Grand Bahama), Omar was on the frontlines of economic development. He works every day to attract global capital, create jobs, and revitalize Grand Bahama’s economy. Previously, he served with distinction at the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism in the United Kingdom, Florida, and New Providence, leading sales and marketing efforts and representing Bahamian interests on the global stage.
But Omar is more than a public official, he is also an entrepreneur who understands the challenges and opportunities facing Bahamian businesses. As the founder of BuyBahamianBiz.Co Ltd., an investment management firm, Omar has helped local businesses scale and succeed, creating real value and real jobs in communities across the country.
