It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Hon. Obediah Wilchcombe, Member of Parliament for West Grand Bahama and Bimini and Minister of Social Services, Information and Broadcasting.
Minister Wilchcombe has dedicated his life to serving our country whether it was through journalism when he joined the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas in 1975 or by serving in various roles politically over the span of 29 years.
We thank Minister Wilchcombe for the contributions he has made to the betterment of our country, especially to the island of Grand Bahama.
On behalf of the executives and members of the Torchbearers Youth Association and Torchbearers Youth Association-Grand Bahama, we extend condolences to the family and friends of Minister Wilchcombe.
May his soul rest in peace.
