On Saturday, May 6, 2023, the coronation of King Charles III will take place at Westminster Abbey, London in the United Kingdom.
The Leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition and approximately two thousand people from Great Britain and around the world received invitations from Buckingham Palace. The Commonwealth realms all consider the British Monarch as their head of state even though they have gained independence from British rule and operate as sovereign nations.
Leaders from the United Kingdom, fourteen realms of the Commonwealth and around the world will be present.
The Bahamas’s Governor General, Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition, and their wives have all arrived in London in their substantive roles as representatives of our government and people.
While in London, the Honorable Michael Pintard, MP, Leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition and his wife, Mrs. Berlice Pintard, will attend a number of events related to the coronation and other important matters, as he fulfills his constitutional duty.
