Christie Teaching Brave Everything He Knows

Jun 20, 2021

The Free National Movement (FNM) issued the following statement regarding Brave Davis’ refusal to apologize for using an expletive in Parliament last week:

“Week in and week out the woeful leadership of the PLP demonstrate that they are unfit to lead The Bahamas. According to Eyewitness News, Parliament went into a ‘frenzy’ during debate last week when, ‘Davis responded with an expletive’. Not long-ago Davis served as Perry Christie’s top lieutenant and they acted as though the rules applied to everyone except themselves; today, Brave has the same attitude.

“Following in the footsteps of his mentor, Perry Christie, Davis launches obscenities in public and refuses to apologize to the people. Rank and file PLP’s should be asking themselves what kind of example the woeful PLP leadership is setting for our children. Silence from other PLP leaders like Chester Cooper, Hannah Martin, and Fred Mitchell is deafening.

“Davis still owes the Bahamian people an apology for falling drastically short of the expectations for our political leaders and for his perpetual obstruction of the government’s business in Parliament.

“While the PLP plays games and works to create headlines, the Minnis Administration is putting their head down, rolling their sleeves up and working for all Bahamians. Our FNM government will continue its efforts to put Bahamians back to work, to provide for the most vulnerable, and to prepare the way for an economic renaissance once the pandemic is in the past.”
