The Free National Movement (FNM) issued the following statement regarding the ratification of new candidates for the next general election:
“Tonight, The Free National Movement proved their commitment to continuing reform and serving all Bahamians. Two new candidates have been ratified that will bring new ideas to government and will work tirelessly to move The Bahamas forward.
“Maxine Seymour received the nomination for the Seabreeze constituency and Quentin Percentie received the nomination for the Englerston constituency.
“Maxine Seymour is a trained communications professional who has experience across several industries such as health, small business and government. She currently serves as a director at one of the nation’s leading health and life insurers while helping the youth in her community. In parliament, she will bring new ideas to the forefront and will help the Minnis Administration advance transparency and accountability in government.
“A man of faith, Quintin Percentie is an inspiration to his community who he serves passionately. In Parliament, he will bring the same intensity to advancing the FNM’s agenda to create jobs, advance education and continue revamping our infrastructure for generations to come.
“Each candidate will bring fresh ideas and a commitment to serving as a voice for all Bahamians. The Bahamas will overcome the pandemic, and together, we will keep moving our nation forward for our children and grandchildren.
